Dr. Johnson is the best pediatrician my kids have ever had! As a military family, we've seen a lot of doctors. As a special needs family, we've seen a lot of doctors. Once he left the practice he was previously at, we tried another pediatrician because the drive to Southern Pines is pretty far. However, no one measured up, so we now make the hour drive just to see Dr. Johnson at his own clinic and we couldn't be happier. He listens to any and all concerns, he is not pushy, he will ensure all referrals get put in quickly. Everyone in the office has been amazing. Highly recommend Living Well Pediatrics for all your kiddos.

Dr. Johnson has been a great pediatrician for our family. He is always quick to respond to any questions we have, even if it may be after hours. As first time parents, we had many at times, some that I now realize may not have especially pertained to him, but he was always gracious to respond. He was quick to recommend an ER visit for us when our daughter had croup and had difficulty breathing and even contacted the ER for us so they would know we’d be on our way. He is caring, not pushy, kind, always friendly, and happy to see our child. We trust his expertise and also appreciate that he respects our decisions as the parent of our child. We appreciate having a pediatrician like him in Moore County.

My family has used Dr. Johnson as our pediatrician since 2020 and we have followed him from where he used to practice to him opening his own. He is FANTASTIC. If we ever had to move, he would be one of the main reasons our family would be sad. The care from him and all of his staff is top tier and my children feel so safe. Dr. Johnson is amazing. He is a very calming presence and he truly cares for your children. He is very patient and answers all your questions as a parent and never ever treats you in a condescending way like so many drs I've encountered. He also will work with you if you want a more holistic approach to things and will help you make informed decisions about treatments. He will go out of his way to send you information on things you have questions about and is just an all around amazing person who is very intelligent and truly passionate about what he does and it shows! Highly recommend.

Dr. Johnson is a treasure, I've never seen a doctor care as genuinely as he does for his patients and their families. He has an incredibly thoughtful approach to medical care. I know my kids are in good hands with him and his staff.

Dr. Johnson is the best pediatrician My child has ever had! My son is autistic and he was gentle, empathetic, compassionate, and had extraordinary bedside manner. He was very careful not to create trauma during his examination of my son. He listened to us, and did not pressure us to do any medical procedures we felt uncomfortable with, he seems to have a working knowledge of some holistic supplements as well if your child takes them. He was extremely kind thorough and really easy to talk to. If you’re crunchy, you should consider making the trip even if you’re in Fayetteville, this will be my son’s pediatrician until he’s grown or this doctor retires. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Dr. Johnson is very knowledgeable and personable as well as easy to talk to. He really listens to all my concerns and respects my choices and opinions for what’s best for my child. I wish I would have found him sooner. The best in NC. His staff is great as well.

We absolutely love Dr. Johnson and the Living Well staff! From the very first visit, it was clear that he truly cares about his patients. Unlike most other drs, he doesn’t rush through appointments or make you feel unheard. We have three kiddos who see him - from newborn to a teenager. He detected a heart murmur with my newborn, that every other Dr missed. He helped get much needed referrals through for all children. He’s responsive in messaging. He takes the time to listen, answers every question thoroughly, and always makes my children feel comfortable. You can tell he’s not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also has a heart for what he does. He’s by far the best pediatrician we’ve ever seen!

We had our first son in March and decided to go with Living Well Pediatrics, as it came highly recommended by many. Dr.Johnson is very thorough, caring and patient with us as first time parents. He went so above and beyond as to check in on us at the hospital when our son at jaundice at 5 days old. We will absolutely never forget that. We got to meet their new nurse practitioner at our last appointment and we really liked her as well. The front desk team is always pleasant and they’re quick to respond on the spruce app which is very convenient. My husband and I always leave appointments happy we chose Living Well for sweet boy!

He has respected my choice of care for my children, always begins treatment from a holistic and lowest level approach, and has consistently showcased a breadth of knowledge and expertise that is both current and rooted in scientific research. Even the referral agencies that he suggests (think breastfeeding specialists, physical therapy, dermatology, feeding therapy, etc.) have all been outstanding which takes a large load off of me as the parent. I am very appreciative of him and his team, and am confident in his approach to care of my two babies.

I don’t know where to begin! Dr. Johnson is the best pediatrician our family has had. We move around a lot and when we came back to this area we wanted him. He was my son’s doctor when he was first born 10 years ago and when we moved away Dr. Johnson still answered my phone calls for a short time to make sure I my son was cared for properly. When we moved back to the area he was not at the same location and we found him and we proudly drive 40 minutes to make sure my kids have the best care. He is very attentive, he knows how to connect with my kids, and they are not afraid of him. My son has not had the best experience with doctors but with Dr. Johnson, he has no issues at all and I’m sure it’s because of how well he treats him. I will always recommend Dr. Johnson as a pediatrician!! Of all the places we’ve been, I have not found a better pediatrician!

I’m very happy to have found such a wonderful pediatrician for my sons.

I just switched to Living Well a couple of months ago and I’m glad I did! My children have seen both Dr. Johnson and Dr. Bailey and I love how thorough they are when examining. That’s rare to see nowadays with pediatricians. I’ve never had problems with referrals for my autistic 6yo and if I have any questions, someone is always able to answer. I drive 45 minutes from Raeford but it’s worth it!

This is by far the best Pediatric Clinic we’ve ever been to. I had a very complex situation when transferring my son to this office. Erin and Shelly have gone above and beyond to accommodate the situation. Dr. Johnson and NP Bayley Colt are already seeing my daughter as a patient since summer of 2025 and we couldn’t be more happy with both of these providers! There is a reason this clinic consistently has a wait list. I highly recommend getting on it if you’re considering moving your child or need a pediatrician. It’s more than worth it!
